Friends Where Art Thou?

This is my life with acquaintances.  I am a thirty something mom of 3, searching for friends.  After I had kids I began to meet other women with children my age. We became acquaintances and may I dare say friends!  Or so I thought!  I can never get over that hump.  The "I'm going to put you number in my phone" step or "bring the family over for a BBQ".  Facebook friends we remain.  Commenting on each others cute kid pics and status updates about what funny thing our 2 year old did today.  But how do you take it further?  This is my quest for a friend.  I personally think Frodo Baggins had an easier quest.  Ugghhh, so here goes...I'm going to put myself out there and see what I come up with!  Wish me luck (and friends)!
